It all started back when I was in high school. My parents had purchased a “fixer-upper” of a house and we moved in. I had a big desire to remodel and update the house and they were brave enough to let me do it. While I must admit my quality back then wasn’t what it is today, the experience ignited a passion that continues to this day.
I continued pursuing my passion through college. I earned a degree in Architecture and then a degree in Interior Design. I graduated from San Jose State, in San Jose, California in 1998 and was married to my bride in 1999. I began working as a Project Manager for a “high-end” General Contractor. After working there for a few years, I knew I was ready to branch out and start my own company. In 2000, I started Degnan Construction there in San Jose, CA. I successfully built and ran this company where I used my architectural and design background to design-build many projects over the years. My main focus was high quality residential bathrooms, kitchens, remodels, additions, and re-builds. Later, I had opportunities to start doing commercial projects. This started through working with 4 large churches in the San Jose (Bay Area). I helped them design and build auditoriums, classrooms, I.T. rooms, pre-schools, offices, and many other projects.
Along the way, we fostered and adopted our six children, who have blessed our lives as much, or more, than we have blessed theirs.
In May of 2016, we moved our family to Fort Collins, Colorado. We moved here for a life change and for a love of the area. We started our business here and are very excited to be serving the Northern Colorado area. We take pride in the organization, quality, and attention to detail we bring to each and every project. The process is just as important to us as the end result.
