Degnan Construction is a Fort Collins-based design/build contractor specializing in custom residential remodeling, additions and construction, along with select commercial remodeling projects throughout Northern Colorado.
Founded in 2000, the company combines decades of construction experience with a strong background in architecture and interior design.
Design Meets Construction Experience
Owner Seth Degnan brings both design and hands-on construction experience to each project.
With degrees in Architecture and Interior Design, Seth works directly with clients throughout the process, from the initial site visit and design conversations to architectural plans, material selections and construction.
That combination is valuable because a project isn’t designed in isolation and then handed off to someone else to figure out how to build it. Design decisions can be made with the realities of construction, budget and scheduling in mind from the beginning.
Personally Involved from Start-to-Finish
Seth remains the primary point of contact throughout each project.
Our process typically begins with a conversation about your project followed by a site visit to review the scope of work. From there, we provide budgetary pricing so you can determine whether the project is a good fit before moving forward.
Once the scope and budget are established, we move into the contract and design process, which may include architectural plans, submittals, product selections and permitting. Then we develop the construction schedule and begin bringing the project to life.
An Experienced Team
Our in-house crew handles demolition, framing and a variety of finish work, while our established network of professional subcontractors provides specialized trades such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC, drywall, painting, countertops, tile and roofing.
We value professionalism not only in the quality of the finished work, but also in the way our team interacts with our clients and respects their homes and businesses.
Organization & Communication
Construction can be disruptive. Good planning can make it considerably easier.
We create a custom timeline for each project and communicate throughout the process so both our team and our clients understand what needs to happen and when.

A Note From Seth
It all started back when I was in high school. My parents had purchased a “fixer-upper” of a house and we moved in. I had a big desire to remodel and update the house and they were brave enough to let me do it. While I must admit my quality back then wasn’t what it is today, the experience ignited a passion that continues to this day.
I continued pursuing my passion through college. I earned a degree in Architecture and then a degree in Interior Design. I graduated from San Jose State, in San Jose, California in 1998 and was married to my bride in 1999. I began working as a Project Manager for a “high-end” General Contractor. After working there for a few years, I knew I was ready to branch out and start my own company. In 2000, I started Degnan Construction there in San Jose, CA. I successfully built and ran this company where I used my architectural and design background to design-build many projects over the years. My main focus was high quality residential bathrooms, kitchens, remodels, additions, and re-builds. Later, I had opportunities to start doing commercial projects. This started through working with 4 large churches in the San Jose (Bay Area). I helped them design and build auditoriums, classrooms, I.T. rooms, pre-schools, offices, and many other projects.
Along the way, we fostered and adopted our six children, who have blessed our lives as much, or more, than we have blessed theirs.
In May of 2016, we moved our family to Fort Collins, Colorado. We moved here for a life change and for a love of the area. We started our business here and are very excited to be serving the Northern Colorado area. We take pride in the organization, quality, and attention to detail we bring to each and every project. The process is just as important to us as the end result.
